This large painting on box canvas was inspired by personal memories of social events and family gatherings- keeping warm by a bonfire is a bit of tradition in our family. Like many I find myself transfixed by the movement of flames and mysterious shapes created within the harnessed power of burning chaos. I really like this image because of its ambiguity- I like to think that questions wil arise but feel they are best left unanswered.
